I’ll admit that I had never heard of Rosemont before this visit. Once there, I couldn’t have been more impressed with the feel, the look and the people. Although they began as an all women’s college, the process by which they decided to become co-educational seems to have been both collaborative and comprehensive. They even went so far as to change the name of their athletic teams from Rambling Roses to Ravens.
The campus is 56 acres, with approximately 1,000 students. About 90% of first-time students, live on campus. Athletics are Division III for a number of both men’s and women’s sports. There are over 20 student clubs on campus and a full range of majors from Accounting to Chemistry to Political Science.
